Additional State Programs
New Mexico enacted the Electric Vehicle Excise Tax Credit (HB 14, 2023) providing a credit of $2,500 for new EVs and $1,500 for used EVs, income-phased out above $150,000 adjusted gross income. Solar tax credit is 10% of installation costs, up to $6,000. This positions NM as moderate given the EV credit is income-targeted.
