EV Purchase Rebate & Tax Credits
Delaware offers a GOOD $3,500 purchase rebate for qualifying EV buyers. Combined with the federal IRA credit (up to $7,500), this can substantially reduce your EV purchase price. MSRP limits and income thresholds may apply.
Home Charging Station Incentives
Delaware Electric Cooperative and Delmarva Power offer EV charging rebates. The Clean Transportation Incentive Program may include EVSE support.
Solar Tax Credit & Net Metering
Delaware does not offer a state solar income tax credit. Net metering: Net metering is available in Delaware under Public Service Commission regulations. Excess generation is credited at the full retail rate for systems up to 25 kW residential.
Additional State Programs
Delaware DRIVEGREEN rebate offers up to $3,500 for new battery electric vehicles. Program funding subject to annual appropriation. Delaware also waives the document preparation fee for EVs.
