Oversize/Overweight Permits

Oversize/overweight permits through CT DOT Motor Carrier Services Fees: Single-trip: $35; Annual: $150+. New Mexico oversize permits are not directly honored in Connecticut. You will need to obtain a Connecticut-specific permit for oversize/overweight loads. Apply online: https://portal.ct.gov/dot/permits/highways/oversize-overweight-permits Enforcement: All commercial vehicles must stop at weigh stations; strict enforcement.

Agricultural: Agricultural vehicles exempt within 10 miles of farm on non-interstate roads.
