Oversize/Overweight Permits
Oversize/Overweight permits through RIDOT online system Fees: Single-trip: $35; Annual: $150+. North Carolina oversize permits are not directly honored in Rhode Island. You will need to obtain a Rhode Island-specific permit for oversize/overweight loads. Apply online: https://www.ri.gov/DOT/osow Enforcement: RISP and RIDOT enforcement; strict enforcement on aging infrastructure.
