If you physically work in Hawaii, file a nonresident Hawaii return (tax rate: 1.4%-11% (12 brackets)). Then file your Michigan return and claim the Schedule 1 credit so you don't get taxed twice on the same income.

Register for withholding, unemployment, and TDI. Unemployment applies to the first $64,500 of wages.
