Kansas has a universal license recognition law. As a South Carolina-licensed professional, your license is generally recognized in Kansas, subject to meeting basic eligibility requirements. Both South Carolina and Kansas are members of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). If you hold a multistate nursing license from South Carolina, you can practice in Kansas without obtaining a separate license.
