Iowa is a member of 7 interstate licensing compacts: Nurse Licensure Compact, Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, Physical Therapy Compact, EMS Compact (REPLICA), Counseling Compact, Occupational Therapy Compact.

Both Iowa and Iowa are members of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). If you hold a multistate nursing license from Iowa, you can practice in Iowa without obtaining a separate license.
