Alabama shares only 1 interstate compact with Alaska: Physical Therapy Compact. Most professions will require a separate state licensing process. Strong compact participation but no universal recognition law.

Alabama is a member of 7 compacts: Nurse Licensure Compact, Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, Physical Therapy Compact, EMS Compact (REPLICA), Counseling Compact, Occupational Therapy Compact. You share 1 of these with Alaska: Physical Therapy Compact.

Alabama is an NLC member, but Alaska is not. You would need to obtain a separate Alabama nursing license or establish residency in an NLC state to get a multistate license.

Teaching license portability from Alaska to Alabama: NASDTEC member; accepts out-of-state certificates with additional state requirements. Most states participate in the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement, but specific requirements vary by state and endorsement area.

Alabama supports PE license comity through NCEES. Licensed Professional Engineers from Alaska can apply for licensure by comity, which is a streamlined process using your NCEES Record. This typically requires verifying your education, exam passage, and experience meet Alabama's requirements.
