EV Purchase Rebate & Tax Credits

Idaho has NO meaningful state-level EV purchase incentives as of April 2026. No state rebate, tax credit, or sales tax exemption for EVs exists. Buyers rely entirely on the federal IRA credit (up to $7,500, subject to income and vehicle requirements). Home Charging Station Incentives

Idaho Power offers a limited home EV charger rebate up to $250. No statewide program.

Solar Tax Credit & Net Metering

Idaho does not offer a state solar income tax credit. Net metering: Net metering is available in Idaho for systems up to 25 kW. Idaho Power and Rocky Mountain Power credit excess generation at the retail rate under Idaho PUC rules.
