EV Purchase Rebate & Tax Credits

Florida has NO meaningful state-level EV purchase incentives as of April 2026. No state rebate, tax credit, or sales tax exemption for EVs exists. Buyers rely entirely on the federal IRA credit (up to $7,500, subject to income and vehicle requirements). Check https://floridadep.gov/ for any new legislation.

Home Charging Station Incentives

Duke Energy Florida and FPL offer limited EV time-of-use rates; no statewide EV charger rebate program.

Solar Tax Credit & Net Metering

Florida does not offer a state solar income tax credit. Net metering: Net metering is available in Florida but SB 1024 (2022) phased out retail-rate net metering; new customers as of 2024 receive the avoided cost rate rather than retail rate.

Additional State Programs

Florida does not have a state EV purchase incentive, sales tax exemption, or HOV lane preference for EVs. Relies on federal IRA credits only.
