Oregon
EV Purchase Rebate & Tax Credits
Oregon offers MODERATE EV incentives through charging equipment rebates and renewable energy programs. Direct EV purchase rebates are income-restricted or otherwise limited. See the sections below for details.
Home Charging Station Incentives
Oregon DEQ and PGE, Pacific Power, and Avista offer Level 2 charger rebates up to $500. Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (OCVRP) provides additional point-of-sale discounts through dealers.
Solar Tax Credit & Net Metering
Oregon does not offer a state solar income tax credit. Net metering: Net metering is available in Oregon under ORS 757.300. Excess generation is credited at the full retail rate for residential systems up to 25 kW.
HOV Lane Access for EVs
Oregon grants qualifying EVs access to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes regardless of passenger count. Check your state DMV for the required clean-fuel vehicle decal or sticker to use this benefit.
Additional State Programs
Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (OCVRP) offers rebates of up to $7,500 for income-qualified households (under 400% FPL) and smaller amounts for all buyers on select models. For typical (non-income-qualified) buyers, rebates average $750–$2,500 depending on model. HOV lane access available. No state sales tax reduces effective EV cost.
