North Carolina permit type: Shall-Issue. Minimum age: 21. Training required: Yes. Non-resident permits are NOT available from North Carolina. Must be 21+, 8-hour firearms training course, pass background check, no felony convictions

In North Carolina, concealed carry is prohibited in the following locations: Schools, government buildings, courthouses, bars, parades, funeral processions, state Capitol.
