Louisiana has constitutional carry (permitless carry). Anyone legally allowed to possess a firearm can carry concealed without a permit. Your Maine permit is not required but may still be useful for other purposes.

Where You Cannot Carry (Even With a Valid Permit)
In Louisiana, concealed carry is prohibited in the following locations: Schools, government buildings, courthouses, bars (with posted signs), places of worship, parades, polling places. Always check for posted signage and comply with all local restrictions. Federal gun-free zones (federal buildings, post offices, military installations) apply nationwide regardless of state permits.
