Permit Rules — Age, Training, Fees
Georgia permit type: Constitutional Carry. No permit needed — Georgia allows permitless carry for anyone 21+ who can legally possess a firearm. Minimum age: 21. Training required: No. Non-resident permits are NOT available from Georgia. Must be 21+ (18+ for military), pass background check, no felony convictions
Where You Cannot Carry (Even With a Valid Permit)
In Georgia, concealed carry is prohibited in the following locations: Government buildings, courthouses, jails, places of worship (unless permitted by property owner), schools (with exceptions for permit holders), nuclear facilities.
